CIMS was developed and implemented through funding by the Ministry of Finance Strengthining Our Partnership (SOP), the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS) and the Ministry of Childrens & Youth Services (MCYS) beginning in April 2005. The goals of the single client information system were and continue to be: the creation of an integrated client record to allow for seamless delivery of services for Voluntary Childrens services and Adult Developmental services transfer payment agencies throughout North and North East Ontario, and realizing opportunities for cost savings through resources sharing and economies of scale.
